Fokoane Makhakhe grew up in Lesotho — Africa’s only country entirely above 1,000 metres. The mountain passes, the waterfalls, the cave dwellings — these were not attractions to him. They were home.
After years working with international organisations in Maseru, Fokoane saw a gap: most visitors saw only the capital. The true kingdom — the highlands, the passes, the people — remained invisible to the world.
